CaffeBene Special Seasonal Menu Mangotella series

Living in Malaysia, we might not even realize summer is here! Caffebene Malaysia launches the summer seasonal menu ‘Mangotella‘ series

which is the product of Mango+Nutella!

Being a tropical country, Malaysia is like a summer almost everyday! Hence, you cannot afford to miss this seasonal menu!

The review came a bit unexpectedly as it was on Sunday which was a weekday for me! Luckily I managed to take an extended lunch break for the review and it definitely worth every second of my time!

I always love mango dessert and was once a hardcore nutella fans too and I was so excited to try the series!

Mango Yogurt Bingsu (RM 29.90)

The correct way to eat bingsu is to make sure you mix everything really evenly before you start eating.

With the sweetness of the mango and the sourness of the yogurt gelato, this bingsu really stimulates your taste bud especially in the hot summer! The mango cubes are fresh, sweet and juicy, when it coupled with the yogurt gelato, it really give you the refreshing feeling and yet the it is not too sweet as the sweetness is sort of being neutralized by the yogurt. With some crunchy almond flakes, it improves texture of the whole dessert. Most importantly I know sometimes mango dessert can be quite ‘jelak’ but this is definitely an exception!

As compared to mango yogurt bingsu, you can see that this contained much more ice! You will soon find out why. With the nutella gelato, mango cubes and cookies crumble, it definitely sound like a very sweet combination, right? That is the reason why you must mix super thoroughly till the bottom of the cup before you started eating as when you mixed it with the ice, it will not be as sweet as you imagine. As opposed to the mango yogurt bingsu, the presence of the nutella definitely give you a different sensation! You gotta to try it to know what I meant!

Mangotella Waffle (RM17.90)

This waffle is topped with fresh mango, yogurt gelato and rich nutella sauce. The nutella sauce is warm and you can drizzle it based on your desired amount Most importantly, if you are an “instagram” person, you can even take a video on the process of drizzling the sauce on top of the waffle. The crispiness of the waffle wasn’t affected by the gelato and it was warm to eat! Definitely suitable for a rainy day!

Mangotella Smoothie (RM 11.90)

You are wrong if you think that this is just a normal smoothie! With the blended mangoes and ice, it is creamy and smooth, you can’t even find any course ice inside the smoothie. As I was in a rush and so I just took away the smoothie and guess what, after my ward round it still tastes good (maybe not so cold only)! The nutella at the bottom of the cup is for you to mix it yourself so that you can control the amount of nutella you want it to be in the smoothie!

That is the end for Mangotella series but if you feel like having some cakes, CaffeBene do served a wide variety of cake as well! I will not go into details but you can have a look at the pictures!
