Shakespeare Boulangerie & Patisserie: Small Reunion

A day before my mid semester break starts.

I never saw Elynn’s for the past 2 weeks as she was in segamat for her rural thingy. Oh no! I will be going soon:( I don’t want to go seriously. It is 2 weeks ler! Haiyo, don’t know why the university always likes these kind of assignment- rural assignments, community based program assignments and they make use of all the technologies that they are so proud of.

Technology cannot replace human touch.

Anyway since we never meet each other for 2 weeks, we had a short unplanned reunion outing after our 1 hour lecture and before I go back JB. Oh yeah! I am in JB now! Haha

My friends and I always very random as we do everything unplanned! We never even decide where to go and towards the end we ended up at Shakespeare Boulangerie and Patisserie in SS15 simply because we found a parking near the shop! Haha
Elynn
Carson
They actually have very beautiful exterior design but I didn’t manage to take any pictures since we were in a rush because I am coming back jb afterwards! The interior design’s photos were taken by Carson!
Look at what we ordered
Breakfast Bonanza

Breakfast Bonanza RM12.90
Scrambled eggs, vegetable salad, toast, sauteed mushroom, chicken sausage wrapped with ham.  The scrambled egg was really soft and it is good!

Scrambled Egg Croissant

Scrambled Egg Croissant RM 8.80
This is my favourite because of the word ‘croissant’! I am a croissant-lover even though it is really just a simple croissant.”Simple” makes it special.
The scrambled egg croissant comes with a croissant which was cut into half scrambled egg and chicken ham were stuffed in it! It serve with vegetables salad and potato salad!

Can you see that I am looking at the food?

How can a dessert lover come here without ordering any desserts right? haha

Strawberry Yogurt

Strawberry Yogurt RM 7.90
This interior side of the strawberry yogurt cake actually looks like this! It has one out strawberry jelly and insides is strawberry and normal flavour yogurt mousse. Below is some fluffy cake!

From the first bite, it taste good but after a while, I find the taste a bit superficial and too sweet! Not my type of desserts!

Chocolate Macaroons at RM3.60
Hmm, this macaroon is nice yet not so nice. Nice because it is the normal standard chocolate macaroon but because I tasted a nicer one before, this one become not so nice anymore. I find it is a bit too sweet also. hmm, maybe because I love dark chocolate and has been eating 72 or 85% cocoa dark chocolate all these while, so any other milk chocolates are going to be categorized as “too sweet” haha. Overall, it is nice and both Elynn and Carson love it!

We also tried their breads! The 1st one is something with chocolate in it, I couldn’t remember the name of the breads! Second one is really ehemm, sucks? It is just too hard to even cut or bite. Don’t know why the bread so hard and I bite until so no image in the shop! Towards the end, the bread is not really nice somemore! 🙁

We took some photos before we leave the place!

Elynn with strawberry yogurt cake!

Selfies! hehe. By the way, do you know that taking selfies is a mental disorders according to American Psychiatric Association!

The disorder is called selfitis, and is defined as obsessive compulsive desire to take photos of one’s self and post them on social media as a way to make up for the lack of self esteem and fill a gap in intimacy! (Direct quoted from http://adobochronicles.com/2014/03/31/american-psychiatric-association-makes-it-official-selfie-a-mental-disorder/

I think I am at the borderline selfitis or maybe to some extend acute selfitis? hahaha

This guy is memang good in selca right?

Overall,

  • I enjoyed the lunch!
  • It is cheap, 3 of us only spent a total of RM40 with all the food mentioned above!
  • The meals all are quite big in portion!
  • Relaxing environment
  • Nice ambience
  • No service charge! you know nowadays you must pay service tax almost everywhere right?
One thing that I don’t like is probably the self service part which means that you have to walk to the counter to order and pay! hmm. This explained why there isn’t any service charges larh! XD
Below is the details of the shop in case you get tempted by my post! XD
